FAR Consulting is currently seeking a IoT Hardware Test Engineer to join our client’s team.
Our client is a new Internet of Things (IoT) business line venture the larger organization, established in 2018. The team’s mission is to unleash the true potential of a connected hospital by enabling complete asset tracking and monitoring solutions, giving hospitals the data and tools, they need to improve processes, realize operational efficiencies, and deliver better experiences to staff and patients. You’ll be part of the Smart Hospital Technology and Product team, working with a dynamic team of professional intrapreneurs who are passionate about solving customer needs using disruptive technologies.
FAR is seeking an IoT Hardware Test Engineer to join our progressive and dynamic fast-paced team. This is a hands-on system test role that will directly contribute to the system testing and test automation of our cutting edge cloud-connected IoT applications and offerings with the latest software technologies and tools.
We are looking for a talented and creative problem solver. You will be involved in the complete software development life cycle: requirement analysis, design review, test strategy, test plans and test case creation, test automation and test execution in a hybrid agile environment. This will require a high degree of collaboration between highly-talented, cross-functional and geographically-dispersed development and test teams. You will work closely with industry-best engineers, developers, product owners and other design team members to understand business needs and system test end-to-end IoT solutions.
Responsibilities
· Should work with product management team to understand product requirement; convert requirement into use cases.
· Should work with software development team to report defects, debug defects and provide necessary details for quick resolution of issue.
· Should be integral part of system test team performing test planning, test execution, test reporting.
- Design and develop hardware solutions for IoT products that meet performance, cost, and reliability targets
- Conduct feasibility studies and assess technical risks associated with hardware design
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software, firmware, and cloud teams to integrate hardware with software and cloud platforms
- Develop and execute test plans to ensure product performance and quality
- Develop and maintain documentation for hardware designs, including schematics, BOMs, and test procedures
- Conduct design reviews and provide feedback to improve the quality and efficiency of hardware designs
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies in IoT hardware design
- Participate in the selection of hardware components and suppliers
Skills And Experience
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent in related field
- 3 or more years of experience in testing web-based applications on various browsers.
- 3 or more years of experience in testing mobile applications.
- 2 or more years of experience using test automation tools such as Selenium, UFT, Ranorex, etc.
- 2 or more years of experience in working with databases
- 2 or more years of experience with test case management and defect tracking systems
- 2 or more years of experience with JIRA
- Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on scrum teams in an agile environment
- Experience working with enterprise and device controls and IoT applications
- Experience working with geographically-dispersed teams
Job Type: Contract
Salary: $60,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
Compensation package:
- 1099 contract
